Amy Dixon Fine Art is located at 1084 S. Gaylord, next to Washington Park Grille. Dixon's "collezione d'arte" features vivid large canvases in a vibrant, European-style studio setting.
Dixon's new venture represents her affinity for the entrepreneurial spirit of the West. "I've been searching for the right fit gallery-wise in Denver, and decided that meant creating my own space to show and work," she explains. The South Gaylord venue reflects Dixon's Louisiana roots, her post-Tulane studies in Italy, and her adopted home of Denver. "I envisioned a European salon-style space with a nod to the West," she muses. This vision plays out with the gallery's modern salon furnishings, anchored by a cowhide rug and an 18th century French Pier mirror and console, all flanked by Dixon's luminous contemporary works.
The studio component of Amy Dixon Fine Art lends an energetic vibe of artwork in progress. Dixon will be regularly painting in the space, along with studio colleagues Linda Israel, an established artist, and Kelly Berger, an emerging artist. "These are trusted friends and creative contemporaries, whom I'm supporting on their own artistic journeys. This collaborative ethic is one I embrace and is also part of the European salon tradition."
